Bachelor of Architecture (4th Year)
CEPT University

I am a fourth-year student pursuing Bachelor’s in Architecture (B.Arch.) from CEPT University. Since the age of 5, I had been learning drawing and painting from Panchal sir even before he had started Hobby Centre for Arts. HCA helped me participate in national and international drawing competitions. Panchal Sir has not only helped me develop my drawing skills but also helped me develop the patience and determination one must have toward their work. I am forever grateful to be a part of the Hobby Centre for Arts.

I have been attending HCA since I was 4 years old and today as a 31 year old, I still wish I could go there regularly. After completing my engineering, I studied M.Des at NIFT Delhi and was ranked all India 5th in the entrance examination. I would give full credit to Panchal sir for encouraging my mind to be creative and authentic, while expressing through my art. I am an illustrator and graphic designer based in Bangalore, having a very successful career doing what I love, and that’s drawing.

ART is now in my DNA. I want to break the myth that one can achieve something only at a particular age.

With help of HCA, I started to participate globally and have won several Internal Prizes since the age of 4 years. I got the “Top 3” award in International Drawing Competition and was invited to receive my award in Budapest, Hungary in the year 2019. In 2020, I won a prize in International Drawing Competition in Japan. I have also achieved many International Recognitions in the field of art and all of this is because of the guidance and motivation I received at HCA.

I have been connected with Hobby Centre for Art since my childhood. Panchal Sir has helped me nurture my art skills and given me a lot of guidance in art as well as life learning. The atmosphere at HCA is very independent and free which helps a budding artist the freedom to explore genres and mediums which maintain a keen importance in the opening of various visual spectrums. HCA can be a boon for any person’s skill sharpening as well as personal growth.

I’ve been attending the Hobby Centre for Art for a few years. I had not experienced such an art institute before. HCA’s faculty is phenomenal… super helping, kind, and understanding. My perspective towards art has taken a different toll since I joined HCA. Art is beyond just drawing and sketching. The best part about joining HCA is that I’ve received international exposure as an artist, which is very motivating and keeps me pumped at all times.

I consider Panchal Sir as my creative guru. It was with him when as a kid, I got a chance to explore my creative side. Not only did I excel in the field of Art under his guidance, but the learning and experience at HCA also helped shape up my career in the field of architecture & design. I am extremely grateful to Panchal Sir and HCA for this.

During the formative years of my career, they helped me curate my art & design portfolio, worthy enough at entry-level for one of the most prestigious universities, “The Glasgow School of Art in Scotland, UK,” where I studied Architecture.

Today, I run my Architecture & Design Studio but I owe all the creative impetus that I get to run my studio, to Panchal Sir and HCA team.

I attended HCA when I was in high school. The skilled teachers here helped elevate my practice and guided me in preparing my college application portfolio. The art competitions I entered as a student with HCA were highly beneficial for my resume and college applications. I learned a variety of skills and art techniques here – oil and acrylic painting, sculpture, and still life painting to name a few. HCA also had visiting teachers and lecturers speak with the students almost every month. I have fond memories of this place being full of fun, experimentation, warmth, and community.

Panchal Sir has been a guiding light to set my base in art and design. I learnt so much over the years from him. With his support and with the help of his knowledge, I participated in many competitions in multiple countries. From learning the basics of drawing to preparing for design colleges, I worked with many different art mediums and materials throughout my art class at HCA. It has been an amazing journey of discovery of art and design in my life as a student of HCA.

I’m currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Fine Art from Shiv Nadar University. I did my Bachelor’s Degree in Painting from MSU, Vadodara.

Panchal sir was one of my first sources of exposure to visual art since I was in grade 1. One of my earliest learnings from his classes was, that the amount of freedom one can experience in the art cannot be experienced anywhere else.

Hobby Centre for Art is not just an art hub, it’s a small world in itself which has introduced me to various new art styles. It has also given me exposure to the world outside of just a small sketchbook. From participating in competitions across the globe to attending workshops, it has been a journey into a new form of my artistic world. The passion for art that it has given me is one of many truly invaluable skills, that I would not have achieved elsewhere. I take immense pride in calling myself a student and a learner of this art studio.
